Seiko Lord Matic - Blue Sunburst Hatch

This Lord Matic model number 7260 is a very good looking watch, and one might argue is an antecedent to the contemporary Presage Cocktail Time line. This particular example is in excellent condition; the dial has a radial gradient from a deep midnight blue at the hour markers to near white at the center. There is a lattice pattern hatch as well, giving the dial a richness not commonly found among the Lord Matic line. The dial and hands look brand new. The semi-hooded lug case has a fair amount of wear mainly in the way of light scuffs but the case lines are sharp and the underlaying factory polishing is still bright. There are no deep scratches and the case does not appear to have been over polished, if at all. The 5606 movement in this watch is in excellent condition and is fully operational.

This is an excellent daily wearer and has all the functionality a watch for the office would demand, however it could easily be dressed up. Dressing down is another story as the depth of the the dial,. shiny case and polished hands and marker are all quite formal; for a night on the town or to a show, this watch would suffice well.
