This Lady Blue Prism has a very functional high-beat Cal.2706 that was manufactured throughout the 1970s. It features automatic and hand winding with a day/date complication. The 2706 was used in scores of watches that varied greatly in style; from dressy to utilitarian, to sporty, with dive bezels and calendars at the 3 or 6 o’clock. This particular model 024C is quite literally a jewel amongst the line. The dial and hand are in near perfect condition. While the case is marred and has plenty of dings, the crystal is new old stock and really makes this watch shine. The hooded lug give it a distinctly 70s and is very sleek on the wrist.
This 2706-024C would make an excellent every day watch as it has all the functionality needed during work or play. The crystal doesn’t make for the most legible time-telling experience. If worn as jewelry, it’s more a matter of whether the rest of the outfit is up to the occasion! In terms of sizing, the Lady Blue is classic womens sizing, so it is quite small. However one thing to keep in mind is that it is quite tall, more than some mens watches in fact!
