In the 1970s Seiko certainly did not skimp on functionality or design when it came to its women’s watches. On paper the 2706 has every feature you would want in a daily wearer; day/date calendar in both kanji and english, automatic and hand winding, all while smoothly ticking away at a high beat rate typically reserved for the top of the line mens watches of the time. All of this packaged in a striking polished case, hooded lug, textured bright red dial with gold hands and markers. Oh, but the cut crystal as well, subtle enough as not to inhibit legibility however slightly prismatic at an angles.
