This late early 70s Presmatic Hi-Beat 5146 is in excellent condition. It has the original signed bracelet with all the original links. The white sunburst dial and handset are very clean with just a bit of chipping around the dail at noon and 9 o’clock. It’s nearly unpreseptable, especially when viewed straight on. The case is unpolished and while it does have some dings and ware, it’s quite bright and doesn’t have any major scars or tarnishing. The hooded lugs, bracelet and overall domed case shape gives it a 70s space-age appeal. Functionally the watch is just as distinct. It has all the feature you would expect of a highly functional dress watch(hacking, handwinding, day and date calendar and hi-beat rate), however the push button crown is unique in that the spring loaded crown’s center is depressed to jump the date forward. What’s more, is the instant calendar change over at midnight - it has a very satisfying snap. Additionally, the watch arrived to Obsolete Inventory with a broken stem, exhausted crown spring, crown wheel and winding pinion so they’ve been replaced with new parts. This particular 5146 now has a very smooth wind and should be care free for many more years.
This is an excellent, very functional watch for every day use and to the office. While the hooded lugs, slab link bracelet and case shape are distinctly late 60s early 70s, this piece could also be dressed up for a special occasion.

• Sternkreuz Low Domed Mineral Crystal with polished bevel; this crystal is similar to the original OEM Seiko crystal, which is no longer available. However the new crystal is domed on the top and bottom surface. The original crystal was domed on the underside and flat on top. The decisions to use low domed top and bottom was done to complement the case shape. It’s quite subtle overall.
